Department seminar
The Seminar of the Department of Computer Science and Informatics originated from the Computer Science and Informatics Seminar, established in 1977. Since the establishment of the Department in 1987, the Seminar has operated, with occasional short interruptions, under its present name. The Seminar was founded and initially headed by Prof. Nedeljko Parezanović. Subsequent heads of the Seminar were Prof. Vojislav Stojković, Prof. Gordana Pavlović-Lažetić, Prof. Nenad Mitić, Prof. Duško Vitas, Prof. Miodrag Živković, and Prof. Filip Marić. The Seminar features presentations of research results from various areas of computer science, given by researchers from the Faculty of Mathematics as well as by visiting researchers from Serbia and abroad. Meetings are held, with some exceptions, every other Thursday at 6:00 p.m. on the premises of the Faculty of Mathematics at Studentski trg.
Since 2014, professional talks have also been organized under the auspices of the Seminar, usually featuring representatives of IT companies who present their work.
