“Nedeljko Parezanović” Award
Since 2017, the Department of Computer Science and Informatics has awarded the “Nedeljko Parezanović” Award each academic year to the highest-achieving students who graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics during the preceding academic year in one of the computer science study programmes or modules. As a rule, the award is presented to one or two students each year, although in exceptional cases it may be awarded to a larger number of students.
The award is named the “Nedeljko Parezanović” Award in honor of Professor Emeritus Nedeljko Parezanović, the first faculty member to teach computer science and informatics at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Belgrade and one of the pioneers of computer science in Serbia and the former Yugoslavia.
