Group for bioinformatics
The Bioinformatics Group conducts research on the development and application of computational methods in biology, medicine, and related fields. Its main research areas include the analysis of protein and gene sequences, predictive models of protein structure and function, analysis of protein structure and organization in different organisms, information extraction from texts and its integration with existing bioinformatics databases, comparative analysis of collected data on the genotypic, phenotypic, and environmental characteristics of organisms, the application of data mining methods to large bioinformatics datasets, and other related topics.
